This three-days hike leads us away from the hustle and bustle of Yogyakarta and into the Gunung Kidul coastal district. Experience the uniqueness of this area's limestone cliffs and black sand volcanic beaches while also learning about the daily life and beliefs of the local people. Our trek begins at Parangtritis Beach, home to the Queen of the South Seas, 'Ratu kidul' . Here we learn about the Javanese custom 'Gotong Royong' or 'mutual assistance' which in this region is used to combat drought and water shortages. We then hike through limestone cliffs, exploring some of the many natural caves that have formed over the years. Our trak Concludes at Krakal Beach where fresh fish can be bought and cooked to your taste.
